Another successful fundraiser in the books! Thank you to all that participated.
On Sunday, October 28, 2018 volunteers from Slocum Realty and the Rhode Island Business Collective collected 1,022 non-perishable items, that weighted a total of 930lbs! All the food was donated to the RI Food Bank prior to the Thanksgiving holiday. In addition, the Alan Shawn Feinstein Foundation will be awarding Greenwood Elementary School a check for $1,000 (as part of the Feinstein Jr. Scholars initiative)!
On Saturday, October 29, 2017, the Rhode Island Business Collective held it’s first fundraiser to help support Ryan Quirk, a local community member and friend to many. We had eight teams of over 80 players play a double elimination kickball tournament. Between players and spectators, we estimate that over 125 people showed up to support Ryan’s cause. We were very proud and appreciative to all of our friends, family and community members who showed up to attend this incredible event. Because of their generosity, we were able to donate $5,000 to the Ryan Quirk Medical Fund. It is with great sorrow that shortly after our event Ryan lost his medical battle. We do hope that our event brought some happiness to Ryan; knowing that so many people cared and made an effort for his cause.
